Terms of service
Written to be read: no fine print and no clause that says the opposite of what the page promises. In force from 16 September 2026.
This is a translation. The Spanish version at andresbrinez.com/terminos is the one that governs.
This site and the products sold on it belong to Andrés Camilo Briñez Núñez, a natural person domiciled in Quito, Ecuador. For anything to do with these terms: contacto@andresbrinez.com. I reply within one business day.
Two digital products. The Odoo upgrade radar: a report on the module repository you point me at, priced by the number of modules (USD 290 up to 15, 490 from 16 to 60, 890 above that), delivered as a PDF within 48 hours of payment and of read access to the repository; requested at andresbrinez.com/en/odoo-upgrade-radar and paid from the quotation you receive by email.
And the Architectural maturity report. It is generated automatically from the answers you give in the self-assessment and from whichever figures of your company you choose to enter. The questionnaire runs in Spanish.
The self-assessment, the resulting maturity stage and the profile by dimension are free and require no payment and no prior registration. The full PDF report costs USD 99, a single payment, and includes one free re-assessment within the following six months.
Delivery is immediate and automatic: once payment is confirmed, the report is sent to the address you gave and stays available for download in your client portal. There is no physical shipment.
And one subscription service: SRI electronic invoicing on Odoo Community, described at andresbrinez.com/en/odoo-electronic-invoicing-ecuador. It covers installing and configuring the Ecuadorian localisation on the server you designate, testing every document type in the SRI's certification environment with your own signature, applying the changes the SRI publishes while the plan is active, and handling issuing incidents. It is contracted per company and not per user: Issuing plan, USD 29 a month with a USD 190 setup; Operations plan, USD 59 a month with a USD 290 setup; and a tailored quote for groups, several companies or migrations from another system. The setup is a one-off payment, the plan renews month by month with no minimum term, and paying twelve months up front gets two free.
The module installed is free software under AGPL-3 and stays on your server: you may use it, modify it and keep using it if you leave the plan. What is charged for is the installation, the configuration, the testing, the updates when the rules change, and the support. Issuing requires you to keep your tax ID and your electronic signature valid, and depends on the availability of the SRI's own services, which is not in my hands.
The report is built from what you answered; there is no on-site verification. Its conclusions are worth whatever your answers are worth, and the document itself marks which answers were declared and which were backed by evidence. Every number that does not come from you appears in the assumptions table.
It is not legal, accounting, financial or investment advice, and it does not replace the judgement of your team or of your advisers. It is an instrument for deciding, and the decision stays yours.
The consulting services (process mapping, architecture map, guided diagnostic, implementation) are contracted through a proposal you sign in your client portal; their terms travel in the proposal itself.
Prices are shown in United States dollars and do not include VAT: it is added where it applies under the tax regime in force. Payment is made from your client portal, with the methods offered there, and I issue the sales document.
No card details are stored on this site at any point.
The report is for internal use by the company assessed: you may read it, print it, circulate it among your team, your board and your advisers, and use it to negotiate with suppliers. What you may not do is resell it, publish it in full, or present it as your own work or someone else's.
The maturity model the report rests on is by Ross, Weill and Robertson (MIT Center for Information Systems Research); what is licensed here is the document, not the model.
Full refund within fourteen days of purchase, with no need to justify it. On the electronic invoicing subscription that right covers the setup for as long as your first real invoice has not been authorised, and the monthly plan can be cancelled whenever you want. The conditions and the procedure are in the refund policy.
The site is self-hosted and can go down. If a failure stops me delivering the report you paid for, you get it as soon as service is restored or you get your money back, whichever you prefer.
Except for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, total liability for any claim relating to the report is limited to the amount you paid for it.
How data is collected, what it is used for, who it is shared with and how it is deleted is in the privacy policy. What your company answers in the evaluation is yours, and it is neither published nor quoted.
These terms may change; the version in force is always the one published on the Spanish page, with its date. A change does not affect a purchase already made, which is governed by the terms in force that day.
The laws of the Republic of Ecuador apply, with jurisdiction in the courts of Quito.
