The Agentic Enterprise: a book about AI agents written for managers
Andrés Briñez

Almost everything published about AI agents speaks to people who write code. This one speaks to people who decide, which is why it helped: a management team's question is not which framework to use, it is what happens when the agent gets something wrong on a Tuesday afternoon.

What I did with it

The idea I use most: the tools you give an agent define the damage it can do. An agent that can only read and propose deletes nothing, however confused it gets. Constraining it is not capping the system's intelligence, it is choosing which doors are open.

The second: the number to watch is not accuracy but how many times a week the agent had to hand a case to a person. That number can be compared against the cost of the person, and it is the one that convinces a management team or does not.

The third is a warning against enthusiasm: one agent is usually right, and splitting it into several is only justified when very specific limits show up. Several agents talking to each other multiply the places where something gets lost.

What I left out

The projections about what the enterprise looks like in five years. They are the most sellable part of the book and the least checkable.
